God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us may be greatly encouraged. We have this hope as an anchor for the sour, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain (Hebrews 6: 18-19)
The women that come to Refuge for Women; their anchor has been non-existent for a long time. The hope they once had has no longer even been a thought. Life has a way of taking us through various storms and during those times of tribulations our anchor diminishes, our eyes can barely make focus on that anchor that is in the far away distance and we drift away along with the waves that come crashing towards us.
The women that come to The Refuge are looking for hope, they are looking for their anchor that has drifted. We are here to lead them to Jesus and to show them that they will have hope and be restored.
You who have made me see many troubles and calamities will revive me again; from the depths of the earth you will bring me up again. Psalm 71:20
